A 260-Year-Old Masterpiece
Founded in 1763, Hine is no ordinary Cognac house. Nestled in the heart of Jarnac, along the banks of the Charente River, Hine has long been regarded as one of the finest producers of Cognac in the world, with a signature style that leans toward elegance, floral finesse, and silken texture. Where many Cognacs lean into power and weight, Hine chooses restraint and refinement. It’s the kind of spirit that unfolds slowly, sophisticated, poetic, and impossibly smooth.
What Makes Hine So Special?
Hine is one of the very few Cognac houses with the legal right to produce and sell vintage Cognacs, aged in cellars in Jarnac and also in the UK — a nod to its British founder, Thomas Hine. Their spirit is drawn from the Grande Champagne cru, the most prestigious growing area in Cognac, known for producing eaux-de-vie with tremendous aging potential.
