Description
A 34-year-old Islay single malt from Laphroaig’s prestigious Ian Hunter Story collection. Distilled in 1987, this rare expression was matured in American white oak ex-bourbon casks before being finished in first-fill European oak Oloroso sherry casks.
Bottled at 46.2% ABV, it combines Laphroaig’s signature smoky, medicinal peat character with layers of dark fruit, spice, toasted oak, and sherry sweetness developed through its long maturation.
Presented in a distinctive book-style collector’s case, Book 4: Malt Master pays tribute to Ian Hunter’s influence on Laphroaig’s whisky-making and maturation practices.
